LIBMAX, Library Automation Solution
Joint venture of Max-intell & Solutionz247- UK / PAK

The Libmax, Integrated Library Solution is designed and developed to fulfill school and colleges’ requirements which would complete automate everyday library operations. Initially, its first releases will enhance system capability for specific education institute but ultimately it will become a web portal for interlinked school and colleges who would be running Libmax in their premises. Elementary and Secondary education is experiencing a growing demand for access to technology-mediated or "online" learning. Reduced costs and increased functionality are allowing more and more academic research decision makers to justify technology-mediated learning initiatives. One of the fastest growing areas in the technology-mediated educational arena is the use of the Internet by school and colleges to supplement face-to-face courses with online components which libraries can offer to students.

Libmax - Pdf

Libmax, the first Pakistan’s indigenously developed, complete and fully customizable online library system using latest & state of the art technology powered with distinctive features, and a tightly-coupled module of Acadmax, is developed on latest Microsoft web technologies using best DB-design practices and security model, software to act on that database, and have 3-tier graphical user interface (one for staff, one for patron and one for visitor). To ensure high-end security application is separated into discrete programs (modules), which are then integrated into a unified interface. Examples of modules include: acquisitions (ordering, receiving, and invoicing materials), cataloging (classifying and indexing materials), circulation (lending materials to patrons and receiving them back), serials (tracking magazine and newspaper holdings), and the OPAC (public interface for users). Each patron and item has a unique ID in the database that allows LibmaX to track its activity.
